Optimum Energy, LLC is a privately held Washington State corporation, founded in 2005 and based in Seattle, Washington.
Optimum Energy brings together a unique group of experienced
professionals around a collection of patented products that are
changing the HVAC sector of the commercial real estate industry by
providing enhanced comfort, reduced operating costs and integrated
networked controls while substantially reducing energy consumption.

Nathan Rothman, B.E.P., CSDP, President and CEO has spent the last 20 years as the president of a privately held
company, whose shareholders comprised executives of Fortune 500
companies, a U.S. top ten bank and other international financial funds
and merchant banks. His firm structured, financed, built and managed
“green field” manufacturing plants for its clients around the world.
Prior to that, Nathan founded and held the position of President of
Valiant Yacht Corporation. The Valiant 40 was awarded the “Product of
the Decade” by the pleasure boat industry. Nathan is an alumnus of
Northwestern University and Illinois Institute of Technology. Nathan is
a Certified Business Energy Professional. |

Jim Hanna, Vice President brings the company over 25 years of experience in developing innovative
information technology products and systems. Jim has extensive
experience as a systems integrator in the delivery of large-scale
information systems and networks. He was a founder and Vice President
of Product Development for Applied Voice Technology, a publicly held
voice messaging company that pioneered the development of open
messaging platforms. He has led projects serving an array of
industries, working with start-ups as well as Fortune 500 companies.

Ben Erpelding P.E., C.E.M, Director of Engineering, has over 11 years of experience in energy
efficiency, distributed generation, renewable energy, and demand
response. Ben has performed over 500 detailed energy assessments at
public, commercial, and industrial facilities in Southern
California. For 6 years (as part of the non-profit San Diego
Regional Energy Office), Ben measured and verified actual performance
and cost savings for energy efficiency retrofits, photovoltaic
installations, demand response audits, and combined heat and power
projects. According to the County of San Diego's administration
analyst, Ben's efforts over his 6 years resulted in a 16% decrease in
the County's energy consumption (roughly 16,000,000 kWh/yr cut from
jails, courts, and office buildings). Ben received his Master of
Science, with an emphasis in Combined Heat and Power, a Bachelor of
Science in Mechanical Engineering, Magna Cum Laude, from San Diego
State University. Ben is a Registered Professional Mechanical Engineer
in the State of California and a member of the HPAC Engineering
magazine Editorial Advisory Board. |

Bert Hogue, Chief Financial Officer, has over 25 years of experience in public accounting
and as Chief Financial Officer for technology companies ranging start-up to
middle market in size and from private, venture-backed to public
ownership. Following 14 years at KPMG LLP in its Seattle and New York
offices, Bert has held leadership positions Wetpaint.com, Who’s Calling, Epoch
Biosciences, Apex Learning, Verio, and NorthWestNet. In his CFO roles, Bert
has had a broad range of externally facing responsibilities including
significant experience with mergers and acquisition and in the public and
private debt and equity markets. Mr. Hogue received his B.A. in Business
Administration from the University of Puget Sound. |

Gary
Gigot, Chief Marketing Officer, leads
Optimum Energy’s marketing and communications team. In this role, Gigot is
responsible for driving increased market penetration through the development of
the company’s reseller program, and generating awareness of HVAC optimization
software as the leading energy efficiency solution available for commercial
buildings today. Previously, Gigot was
an investor and chief marketing officer of Visio Corporation where he played a
central role in positioning Visio as the leader in business drawing software. During
Gigot’s Visio years, the market capitalization rose from $25 million to $1.3
billion, after which the company was sold to Microsoft. Gigot’s technology
experience also includes four years serving as vice president of marketing at
Microsoft, where he managed advertising, PR, research, channel, events and
direct marketing disciplines for Microsoft.
Gigot is also a 16-year advertising veteran, principally with Ogilvy
& Mather. He remains an active philanthropist, having founded the Gigot
Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at Notre Dame and the United Way of King
County's "Out of the Rain" initiative to end homelessness. Mr. Gigot
sits on the Mendoza College of Business Advisory Council and on the Board of
Managers of Northwest Horticulture. |

Maury Costantini, Vice President of Sales is responsible for the development, implementation and execution of Optimum Energy’s global sales and market strategies for its HVAC optimization software solutions. Prior to Optimum Energy, Costantini was a regional sales manager for Siemens Building Technologies, a building performance, safety and security solutions provider. His clients have included various Federal, State and City organizations, as well as K-12, higher education, biopharmaceutical and healthcare industries in the Pacific Northwest region. Costantini also held a similar role at Southland Industries, where he developed new markets across the country in Arizona, Texas, Washington D.C. and Washington state. Costantini is an alumnus of Central Michigan University and California State University – Long Beach, and has attained HVAC Design and Electrical Design certifications. He also holds a masters degree from the University of Phoenix. |
